Villa de Sol Madeira is for those who don't want an anonymous hotel – but a calm, personal base for discovering the island. We've worked in hospitality and tourism for over twenty years, so we know exactly what matters: a clean room, a comfortable bed, a good breakfast and someone you can actually talk to.
We're originally from Hungary, lived in Germany for many years, and eventually made Madeira our home. We welcome our guests the way we'd like to arrive somewhere new ourselves: with genuine attention, honest advice and plenty of useful local tips.

From 1 May to 30 September, Villa de Sol is available as a complete holiday house for up to 8 guests – with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, without breakfast service. From October to April, 3 rooms are available for up to 6 guests.

We stayed in the Sun Room for 10 nights and loved every moment. The ocean view from bed in the morning is something else. Laszlo and his wife are warm, helpful hosts who give great local recommendations. Highly recommended.

We rented the Garden Room for a week. Comfortable bed, great breakfast, quiet neighbourhood. Getting around Madeira by car is easy from here. We'd definitely book again.
Villa de Sol is located between Santa Cruz and Machico, in a quiet and safe residential area. An excellent base for exploring both the south and north of Madeira. The house is most easily reached by car or taxi.
